The Moodboard
Before a collection starts to take shape, there’s usually a feeling we want to capture.
For us, that feeling begins with colours, textures, silhouettes and small details that keep catching our attention. We collect images, save references, look at fabrics and put different ideas next to each other to see what works.
That’s what our Scanddie moodboard is all about.
At the moment, we keep coming back to a palette of white and black. We like how these colours work together. They feel simple without being boring, and the black adds just enough depth to make everything feel a little more distinctive.
We’re also drawn to clean lines, understated details and pieces that don’t need a lot of extra styling to stand out. We want the overall feeling to be considered, but never too complicated.
Our moodboard isn’t a final plan for the collection. It’s more like a place to collect everything that feels right while we figure out what Scanddie should become.
Some references might inspire a colour. Others might lead to a particular shape, a fabric choice or a detail we hadn’t thought about before. Sometimes, putting two completely different images together is what sparks a new idea.
We’re still experimenting, and we know the mood will evolve as the designs develop. What looks good in a moodboard also has to make sense when it becomes something real that you can wear.
That’s the part we’re most excited about: taking all these visual ideas and slowly turning them into actual pieces.
We’d love to know what you think, too. Are you drawn to the burgundy tones, or would you like to see more neutral colours? Do you prefer clean, structured pieces or something softer?
Your thoughts are welcome, even at this early stage.
For now, this is the world we’re building around Scanddie — one image, one colour and one idea at a time.
