The Design Journey
Every piece of clothing starts somewhere. Sometimes it’s a sketch, sometimes a fabric you come across, and sometimes it’s simply an idea you can’t stop thinking about.
For Scanddie, this is where the next chapter begins.
We’re currently exploring what we want the first collection to look and feel like. There are sketches, reference images, colour ideas and notes that slowly start to come together. Some ideas make sense straight away. Others need a little more work before they feel right.
That’s part of what makes the process interesting. Not every idea has to work the first time.
Designing your own clothes is about more than deciding what looks good. There are details to think about — the fit, the fabric, the shape, how a piece moves and how it feels when you actually wear it. A design can look perfect on a screen, but there’s still a lot to discover before it becomes a real garment.
We’re taking our time with this stage because we want the first collection to feel right. We’d rather spend longer developing a few pieces we truly believe in than rush into launching a collection just for the sake of it.
For now, we’re sharing glimpses of the process as it happens. The inspiration, the early drawings, the decisions and the ideas that might eventually become part of Scanddie.
Nothing is completely set in stone yet, which means there’s still room to experiment, rethink things and try something new.
And honestly, that’s what makes this stage so exciting.
This is the part most people don’t usually get to see — the work that happens before a finished piece ever reaches your wardrobe.
We’re looking forward to sharing more as things come together.
One sketch at a time. One step closer.
